Greg was a native of Orange County, CA, having gone to St. Bonaventure School (’81) and then to Mater Dei High School (’85).  Greg went on to college at Tufts University in Massachusetts (’89), and later proceeded to get his JD from Georgetown Law School (’93), and an LLM from Columbia University School of Law (’03).  Greg and his wife Christy enjoyed living in Washington D.C., the San Francisco Bay Area, and the Boston area.

Greg worked as an attorney for several years in civil litigation and enjoyed the work.  However, since his first year of law school when he interned in South Africa, he was drawn to the fields of international and human rights law.  He began studying this area, and then did his own research and writing in the field, and eventually completed a specialized Masters degree in International Law.  Greg briefly taught International Human Rights Law at the New England School of Law in Boston.

In 2002, Greg was an Intern at the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda, a UN funded International Court in Tanzania, East Africa.  He enjoyed this work tremendously, and was thrilled when he was hired a year later to be an Assistant Prosecutor at this Tribunal.  Greg and his family moved to Tanzania in 2003 for Greg’s position at the Tribunal.

Gregory truly felt he had found his career path and was looking forward to continued work in International Law.  He and his family felt fortunate to have had the opportunity to live and work in Arusha, Tanzania.

Greg will be sadly missed by his family, and by so many
dear friends around the world.
